Kessock Equine Vets recently hosted a Festive Supper & Talk for their clients

Kessock Equine Vets (Drumsmittal, Inverness) recently hosted a Festive Supper & Talk for their clients at the Storehouse, Evanton, during which they ran a raffle for Black Isle Cares, a charity local to the practice and very close to their hearts.

The night was a great success; guests enjoyed non-alcoholic mulled wine, stovies (a Scottish speciality) and quiche, followed by tea/coffee and Scottish tablet!

The talk was delivered by their Clinical Director Dr Joseph Sharps, BVetMed MRCVS and focussed on Laminitis and EMS. It went down well with the audience and an informative Q & A session followed.

Black Isle Cares, the charity this was all in aid of, was registered in 2015 to facilitate the improvement of care services on the Black Isle, especially for the elderly population. The event gained fantastic support from local businesses, including Crown Vets (Inverness), Horse at HIS and Seaforth Saddlers, all of whom donated various prizes. The clients also helped with some cash and prize donations, meaning that the evening raised a whopping £255 for Black Isle Cares!

Huge congratulations to everyone involved. Kessock Equine Vets are delighted to have been able to help and promote such a worthwhile local charity – talk about the spirit of Christmas!
