Mill House Vets' Clinical Director Awarded Advanced Practitioner Status

Mill House Veterinary Surgery and Hospital is celebrating the announcement that their Clinical Director, Dr Sarah Colegrave, has been awarded Advanced Practitioner status in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

After gaining a distinction in her BSAVA Certificate in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care in April last year, this prestigious status recognises Sarah’s veterinary expertise with emergency and critical cases, including soft tissue surgery, ultrasound and endoscopy. Sarah has also pioneered the introduction of laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery at Mill House.

Practice Manager Donna Northwood said, ‘In awarding this prestigious status to Sarah, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons have recognised all the work and study that she has undertaken. We are very proud of Sarah’s well deserved achievement.’

Based in Tennyson Avenue, the hospital continues to go from strength to strength – having recently been accredited Outstanding in all six available categories under the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme: Emergency and Critical Care, Consultation Service, Team and Professional Responsibility, Diagnostic Service, Client Service and Inpatient Care. Mill House is one of only 2 veterinary practices in the country to hold these very prestigious accreditations. There is currently a team of 10 vets all with their own areas of interest and expertise. The hospital is also one of very few accredited RCVS Small Animal Hospitals in West Norfolk.
