An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full or part time veterinary surgeon at Clockhouse Veterinary Hospital in the beautiful Cotswolds, close to Cheltenham, Bristol and Bath. Clockhouse is a very friendly, high standard first opinion team that bridges the gap between standard first opinion practice and referral institutions by fully working up medical cases and carrying out advanced surgical procedures e.g. TTA, perineal urethrostomy and laparascopic procedures. The hospital is well equipped with laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, radiography, echocardiography and on site lab with brand new biochemistry and haematology machines. We will actively encourage your development in whichever area you are interested in. Weekly veterinary team meetings to discuss cases and further understanding including presentations by a referral clinician. We are supported by a local referral hospital nearby where CT and advice is readily available.
 
We are looking for the successful candidate to start in March 2020 after one our vets has decided to relocate and move on with their career. The vet team cover our own OOH service and the nurse team say on site and take all calls OOH. Vets work a 1 in 6 weekend rota. The team includes certificate holders and those currently working towards certificates. We encourage and support development of your personal aspirations as part of a progressive and experienced medical and surgical team. Competitive salary package. CPD is actively encouraged and generously funded. Package includes 5-week flexible holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off every year. Generous days in lieu after weekend working. Good work load but allowing for an excellent work-life balance.
 
The ideal candidate would have experience with small animals. The position could be suitable for a part or full time applicant. They must have MRCVS registration. Certificate qualification would be beneficial but not required. We are looking for an enthusiastic veterinary surgeon to work in a friendly, relaxed and supportive 9 vet team as part of a hospital status practice. This position would particularly suit someone with an interest in internal medicine or who is working towards a medicine certificate.
