St George's Vets, Wolverhampton
The role of our branches is to provide excellent veterinary services to their local community. An emphasis is placed on building relationships with clients to really understand their needs and those of their pets. Each branch has a consulting nurse who, together with the vet, should provide the first port of call for clinical and preventative advice. Our branch vets do routine surgery and dentistry. They do not hospitalise patients overnight.
You will have the freedom to develop services and grow the branch surgery putting your own stamp on how things are run. We have a total of six branch surgeries which are fully supported by a hugely talented team of 20 vets, 25 veterinary nurses, management and support staff.
The main hub of St George’s is the RCVS Tier 3 hospital open 24 hours practicing veterinary medicine and surgery to exceptionally high standards. We also run a quality emergency service for our own surgeries and several local practices in the West Midlands with a dedicated team of night staff. Our hospital services include CT scanner, digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray, in-house blood machines, capnography, physiotherapy, cardiology and orthopedics.
There is no out of hours requirement with this role but you will be expected to work one Bank Holiday per year consulting at the Hospital. Attractive salary package including pension contribution, professional subscriptions, a generous CPD allowance of £1200 per year, staff discount and a well-being scheme.
