What does the process look like?
One of our Acquisitions Team will get in touch with you for a confidential discussion. You’re in good hands; fellow vets Stuart Caton MRCVS and Keith Chandler MRCVS know this is a sensitive time for you and your business and treat the whole process with the utmost confidentiality and respect. If you agree to sell, the team will work with you through the due diligence and completion process.
How long does it take?
Every practice sale is different. In many ways it depends on how prepared for the sale you are. The shortest sale process we have is 10 weeks.
Can my practice keep the same name?
Yes it can. You are right to be proud of your name and heritage and we respect and embrace the ethos of what your practice represents in the local community.
Will you help me hire new staff?
Yes. That’s our job! We have a Head of HR and two Recruitment Managers. Their job is to keep your practice running with a full complement of happy staff.
Can I stay on at the practice?
Most definitely. Whilst it is true that some vets sell to us with a view to immediate retirement, 95% stay on in the practice and fall back in love with the job again. When you are not worrying about payroll, marketing or tax returns, the job is a lot of fun!
Would you consider my practice?
We’ll consider any practice in the UK because there are various permutations which can make the process work for all involved. The first thing you need to do is get in touch so we can get the ball rolling.
